More information regarding the crash of Air France Flight AF 447, from different news sources:
This is London reports:
Two passengers with names linked to Islamic terrorism were on board the Air France flight which crashed and killed 228, it emerged today. French secret service staff established the connection while working through the list of those who boarded the Airbus 330-200 in Rio de Janeiro on 31 May.
Sunday Herald focuses on yet another two other passengers who were also on the same flight: Amid the media frenzy and speculation over the disappearance of Air France's ill-fated Flight 447, the loss of two of the world's most prominent figures in the war on the illegal arms trade and international drug trafficking has been virtually overlooked.
Bloomberg reports that still a lot of uncertainty exists regarding the cause: “The loss of measured air speed indicators is not in itself enough to cause this type of tragedy,” said Justin Dubon, an Airbus spokesman. “At this stage, further information is vital to understanding fully what happened.”
One question among pilots is why there was no distress call from the cockpit. The only thing one can say on that is that “whatever happened must have been sudden and extremely violent,” Derivry said.
RiaNovosti reports that good luck is sometimes only shortlived: An Italian woman who arrived late for the Air France plane flight that crashed in the Atlantic last week, killing all 228 on board, has died in a car accident, Italy's ANSA news agency reported.
